Children’s Music Academy

Maranatha Children’s Music Academy was established in September 2023, fulfilling a long-held dream of having a children’s choir to partner with the Maranatha Youth Music Academy.

CMA is a non-audition treble choir designed for children aged 7-13. We gather weekly to explore two-part choral music across various genres, such as classical, spirituals, musical theater, jazz, folk, and even pop.  In addition to developing music reading skills, our goal is to honor God through both our minds and bodies.

Children’s Choir Ensemble

Choir students must be 7-13 years old by the first rehearsal of the semester.  Our current practice location is at Hamilton Baptist Church in Hamilton, VA on Wednesday afternoons.  The ensemble meets during the school year, September through May.  If space is available, the Choir Director may allow joining mid-year during the fall or spring semester.

Beginning Strings Ensemble

The CMA Beginner Strings is a beginner string ensemble for young musicians playing at a Grade 1 level or higher.  This ensemble seeks to glorify God through the gift of music, build experience in ensemble playing, grow in confidence on your instrument while exploring various genres of music.  Practices are held weekly on Wednesday afternoons in Purcellville.  No auditions required.
